the united states is about independence and freedom – not political parties or politicians

We signed the Declaration of Indepedence and fought a war for independence to create an independent, free, nation. We created a government with three independent branches and independent agencies within those branches.

The pledge of allegiance is to the United States of America. The national anthem speaks to the land of the free and the home of the brave. Independence, freedom, bravery, allegiance to the country. This is what the United States is about.

The United States is not about political parties or politicians. We did not fight a war or sign a declaration of political parties. We do not say a pledge of allegiance to a political party and definitely not to a politician. The national anthem is not the land of political parties and home of politicians.

Political parties are destroying the United States because they care about ideology not competency, are increasingly lazy, lacking in principals, and out touch with reality. Entertainment and attention are more important than responsiblity and accountability.

It is possible to have sensible moderate people in office who are trying to solve hard problems that support the most people possible and do so in the most neutral way possible. But that will not happen if left to political parties.

There are more independents and moderates in the United States than there are Republicans or Democrats. But our views are never considered.

Independents and moderates should band together as a voting block and punish whichever political party is in power until each realizes they cannot be in power unless they are moderate and have better candidates in office. How we do this is open but it can be done.
